Copying, scanning and printing
Important about the printing system
(Note! Updated information)
In December a new printing system that will work at the entire university will replace our current system. Students that still have money left on their Payex balance can get it transfered back to their bank accounct by requesting it from Payex. This will be free of charge from the 1st of December.
More information will follow as soon as possible.
Copying, scanning and printing
You can copy, scan and print at Sambib as well as in the lobby of the Eden building, using a Secure-Print account. In order to do this, you first need a student account, LU account (staff) or library visitor account.
Setting up an account with PayEx
As a student or library visitor you must first set up an account with PayEx and connect it to our printers. Staff does not need to create an account. If you already have a PayEx account, you just have to connect it to our printers, read below.
Create an account here: https://wallit.payex.com
If you are not a Swedish or Norwegian citizen, PayEx requires you to send them a copy of your ID plus letter of acceptance/study certificate. You will receive an e-mail with further instructions when you have created the account.
Connecting your PayEx account to Sambib's printers
In order to log on to our printers, and use your PayEx balance, you must activate an autopay agreement.
To do this, you need to be connected to the wired LU network or by VPN.
The connection is made here: https://payprint.student.lu.se/pwuser/
Note that if you have made the connection to other faculties within Lund University, you may have to do it again here to be able to print at Sambib.
Deposit money to your printing account
If you want to scan something, you do not have to transfer any money to your account. If you need to print or copy, please deposit money (a minimum of SEK 100) in the following ways:
- Direct payment Swedbank/Nordea
- PayEx cash card. Can be purchased at Pressbyrån/7-Eleven
To deposit money to your PayEx account, go to https://wallit.payex.com
Log in and click on Deposit.
Select the printer “SecurePrint på uwap117” on the library computer. The documents you want to print are sent to the printing queue. Go to any of the new multiprinters and log in, either by placing your LU card on the card reader to the left or by logging in manually with your student or LU account. Select the documents you want to print and click Print. The fee will only be deducted from your account once the document is actually printed.
Documents you send to the printing queue remain there for 24 hours.
Printing from your laptop
You can send your documents to mobileprint [at] ldc [dot] lu [dot] se, provided that the system recognizes your e-mail address. See instructions below and click here to add an e-mail address to your account.
