Information literacy for students

Tuition offered by the library
The Social Sciences Faculty Library offers tuition for students and researchers in information skills, such as information searching, source criticism and reference management.

Since the introduction of the Bologna process in 2007, the Social Sciences Faculty Library has worked actively to introduce and implement the learning outcomes for information skills that are included in the faculty’s programmes.

What we offer

Our aim is to closely link tuition in information skills to study programmes, thereby making it a central and integrated part of students’ knowledge acquisition. As a course director or individual lecturer, you can find examples of what the library offers and how it can be integrated into the course you teach in our guide, Information skills in education, below. The examples are to be considered as suggestions, and it is possible to combine various elements as well as to integrate them into existing tuition.
