Storage and Data Security
Researchers at Lund University are offered different data storage solutions depending on the respective faculty. Talk to the research support at the library if you are unsure about where and how to best store your data.
How to proceed as a researcher at the Social Sciences Faculty at Lund University?
If my data does not contain personal data or other sensitive data:
Use the server solution or other solutions provided and backed up by LDC.
Read more about the different solutions at the LDC webpage (only in Swedish).
If I work with personal data and other sensitive data:
- Use LUSEC, a platform for storing, handling and analysing data in a high-secure way. This is possible due to encryption, two-factor authentication, secure user environment and controlled access to whom (at LU or outside) who reach the platform. Access to LUSEC can be purchased at the Medical Faculty, read more at the LUSEC webpage.
Read more about LUSEC at the Medical Faculty webpage
- Take precautions to prevent unauthorised access to personal data or other sensitive data. Make sure to store your data in a secure way, like in a strongbox, see our page on Personal Data and Confidentiality.
